Good to know

Lock a single chat from that chat's ⋮ menu — not here.
Hide a chat from the same ⋮ menu. Hidden chats have no switch in Settings on purpose: a visible toggle would tell anyone holding your phone that there's something to find.
Three separate PINs — app, chat lock, hidden chats — so one never unlocks the others.
PINs guard this device. What keeps messages private on the server is the encryption, which is always on.
Calls work on most Wi-Fi. Some mobile networks block the connection type calls need.

Change password

Your encryption key is protected by this password, so it gets re-protected with the new one automatically. Stay online until it finishes.
